SURVEYING, INSPECTIONS, AND PERMITTING
Surveying, inspections, permitting and forensic studies are specialty services GOLDSTON provides. Our engineers and technicians are trained and equipped for each assignment. This training includes the appropriate surveying, engineering and construction technology as well as operational and job site safety. Materials are inspected by technical methods appropriate for the situation and may include ultrasonic, x-ray and petrographic analysis. Our services include the inspection services, analysis and expert testimony, when required.
Surveying:
These services include: boundary surveys; topographic surveys; pipeline and highway rights of way surveys; hydrographic surveys, railroad surveys and construction layout.
Bridges:
We have inspected over 10,000 bridges in the TXDOT BRINSAP, bridge inspection program. We also provide bridge inspection services for cities, counties and industry.
Buildings:
Inspections include structural capacity and performance, roof and MEP systems.
Utilities:
Gravity and force main sewer systems. Sewage treatment systems. Water storage tanks.
Marine Structures:
Above and below water inspection of marine structures. Our customers receive the benefit of our own certified engineer-divers performing underwater inspections.
Confined Space:
Members of our staff are certified to enter confined spaces. We use this expertise in the inspection of items such as water storage tanks, petroleum storage tanks, manholes and vaults, etc.
Windstorm:
Structures are inspected for code conformance for the Texas Catastrophe Property Association.
Permitting:
We believe in developing projects in an environmentally responsible manner. Our expertise includes the delineation of wetlands and developing project features consistent with regulatory requirements. We work with our customers and the agencies in obtaining permits such as USACOE 404 and Section 10 permits and TNRCC 401 Water Quality Certificates.
